Joslin FieldsThis ever expanding collection of clothing, household and garden items is a wonderful representation of the artist's life and passions. After growing up in a small town in coastal New England, Joslin studied art in its various forms in the US (Middlebury College) as well as Southern France & London. She then took her talents with her and entered into a masters program in Chicago with the intention of becoming a teacher and sharing her gifts with children. Everything changed when she chanced to go on vacation in Montana. After a week of hiking in Big Sky country, she decided she had to move! Joslin landed in Bozeman, MT, a college town surrounded by mountains and rivers. Soon after settling into her new life of outdoor activities and two- stepping, she met her husband. Now, she spends much of her time with their daughter, three horses, two fat donkeys, one dog, and a barn kitty. The rest of the time, however, she can be found designing, sewing, carving rubber stamps, cutting metal, gardening, and gaining inspiration from walks with her family and friends along the creeks and mountain trails near her home. She manages to fit in teaching an art class now and again to both children and adults. |
