Frequently Asked Questions
- How long does it take for custom orders?
Usually 2-3 weeks. "Rush" orders are possible - schedule and season dependent, so please ask...
- What about special orders?
I encourage special orders as long as I think it is within my range of creativity. Prices will be based on time and material costs. Call me , let us talk!
- Do you ever do shows at fairs, etc where I can see your stuff in person?
Call me, I live just outside of Bozeman and can meet you with a carload of appropriate goods. I enjoy face to face sales! Come see me at farmer's market at the fair grounds in Bozeman on Saturday mornings.
- What is your return policy?
We can trade for a different size or color as long as the item is still in new condition. Sorry no refunds. Shipping costs are incurred by the customer.
- Can your coats (hats, t-shirts) be washed in the washing machine? Dried in dryer?
Fleece is a dreamy fabric, made of recycled bottles then spun into fiber. I recommend Machine wash, LINE dry (in mere moments!) As for T-shirts, line dry unless you are hoping to shrink it!
- Won't your metal artwork rust if I leave it outside?
YES! I love the way the environment ages and adds a beautiful patina even on the painted metal objects! The coasts' moisture really enhances my work and speeds the rust process
- I am not sure what size my child's head is. What size should I order?
There is no hard rule about head size and age, so fret not; this is a good question. It's best to measure: Wrap a piece of shoelace or non- stretchy string about the child's head being sure to have the ears and forehead covered too. (Place it just where a hat will sit.) Mark the string and then transfer that length onto your counter top and measure with a yard stick. Or for greater efficiency use a fabric tape measure. That number will tell me just what size to make.
- What kind of fabric do you use for the hats?
I use Malden Mill brand fleece. It is TOP quality and used by all the BIG guys. It stretches nicely making for a hat that wears like iron and should last and stretch with your child for years. Many moms say the hats stretch so much they have been able to have their toddler wear their hats almost all the way through elementary school!
- How are your coats sized?
The coats are made to be roomy and boxy. The arms are made extra long and folded up to allow you to roll them down as they grow. They should provide for years of wear. My daughter wore hers for 5 years before I had to make her another one. Let me know your child's waist and arm length and I will make sure there is room to grow.
- I have a question that wasn't answered above.
